I graduated as an Osteopath from VU with a Bachelor of Science (Clinical Sciences) and a Masters of Health (Osteopathy). Osteopathy is a 5 year qualification and a Board Certified profession. I also have a Bachelor of Applied Science from RMIT and qualifications in Pilates, Dry Needling, Sports Massage and Remedial Massage.
I taught anatomy to massage therapists and now supervise anatomical dissections for Osteopathic students at Victoria University. I love to teach as it keeps my knowledge sharp, I enjoy watching student have their ‘lightbulb’ moments and because they always have a curly question to ask that makes me question what I know!
I started life as a medical scientist, working in both Australia and the UK in areas ranging from Forensic to Veterinary pathology. I decided on a change of career and studied remedial and sports massage and ran my own soft tissue therapy practice in Essendon for 12 years before deciding to go back to study (again!) and join the wonderful world of Osteopathy.
I love practicing as an Osteopath in my local area and have been part of the Essendon/Moonee Ponds community for 20+years. I enjoy treating all types of people from the young to the young at heart using a variety of skills, a keen ear and a wide referral network to meet their needs.
As an Osteopath, I work with musculoskeletal (joints, muscles, ligament and tendons) injuries but Osteopathy can benefit conditions such as asthma, digestive and other visceral issues by treating the tissues in and around these organs such as muscles, ligaments and fascia. Treatment may not be curative but can help with management of pain, discomfort and frequency/severity of symptoms.
Areas of Interest:
OK…self-confessed nerd alert coming up! I love to learn about new things that interest me and benefit my patients.
I have an ongoing interest in nervous system control of movement (check out our ProActive Movement Program!) and how this can help people move beautifully and safely. I am also interested in Cranial (Head) and Visceral (Organs) Osteopathy and Fascia- these are more traditional areas of Osteopathic treatment and can be very helpful to patients….feel free to ask me questions!
Outside of Osteopathy, I like to travel, read, cook, garden, get into or onto the water, do Pilates and be outdoors. Oh, I also love Gin!

He has worked as a sports trainer in the VAFA, where the emphasis was on treating and managing both acute and long-term sporting injuries. With a structural based focus, he uses a variety of techniques to ensure the best outcomes for his patients.
Outside of the clinic he is kept busy with three young children, and is a keen North Melbourne supporter in the AFL.
